We said goodbye to Leuven last Monday and caught a few trains with our bikes to get to Vienna, the starting point for our next cycling tour.

We stayed in a hostel in Cologne overnight and camped for two nights in Salzburg along the way. We spent a day looking around Salzburg and went for a walk up one of the mountains behind our camping ground. The weather was warm, but we had thunderstorms and rain both nights, although we stayed nice and dry in our tents.

We reached Vienna on Thursday afternoon and went for a nice cycle along the Danube Island and the Prater park, two really fantastic things about Vienna. It’s a great city for enjoying the summer weather.
