I have to say... Barnett was ahead of his time with the canal proposal. The big drought happened too late for that election. Bring on the nation building.

I have a few tourcam movies that I might try and put on youtube. But this is all low-speed stuff. No stacks yet, no Swiss maidens either.

No Costello,... yet. But Barnett is back in charge of the Libs in WA, Just waiting for the canal proposal from the Murray to the Swan river any day now.

You've got some great photos riding through the Alps. Have you managed to rip out the camera while still pedalling, take a really nice pic, then stack into the back of a car, or a Swiss maiden?

Is Costello in charge now??

Yes I think this blog would be more interesting as Keating watch.

I should post a proper update or it might become as old and stale as the man himself.

Tom, are you trying to hijack this blog and turn it into Keating-Watch? If yes, I'll keep on reading it anyway.

nice, now I know what I'm doing for my next holiday!

Keating was at a book launch in Sydney a couple of days ago and managed to fire off a couple more lines baggin Costello:

"He's a guy without imagination and he is a guy without courage ... In national terms, to have such a nong -- and he is, in policy terms he is a mouse -- to have him back again speaks volumes about the Liberal Party."

And one I hadn't seen before, must have been from some time ago:

On Former Labour politician, Jim McClelland (over the phone):

"That you Jim? Paul Keating here. Just because you swallowed a f-cking dictionary when you were about 15 doesn't give you the right to pour a bucket of sh-t over the rest of us."

Rollerblade routes? sounds very nerdy. What about roller skates? or have the swiss banned these? Do they have special paths for other manual propelled wheel based transport like tricycles, skate boards or scooters?
